Rachel's Challenge

    Hello out there this is your magical fairy godmother here and the topic today is... Rachel's Challenge. It is a phenominal thing to be apart of. Rachel Scott,  the girl that was killed in the massacre, at Columbine High School wanted  to show compassion and  start a chained reaction with people all over the world little did she know it is happening now! It is so sad that it has to be delivered in this way with her not here to help but she is in the hearts of those that is touches, and it is touching and changing a lot of schools!  People all over the world are joining and taking part in Rachel's Challenge. She is slowly changing the world!

 

     A way that I can get involved with Rachel's Challenge is by accepting the challenge. By accepting the challenge I would care for people just as Rachel did for her fellow peers. All of the love and compassion that she showed to others was so amazing. I wish that I could have met here before she passed. Another way that I can be a part of Rachel's Challenge is to tell other people about it. And tell my friend that they need to tell their fellow peers about it and they could spread their love and compassion. I am ready for the challenge!

                          

   On April 20, 1999 in Littleton, Colorado. Rachel Scott was killed at Columbine High School. Two seniors, Dylan Kelbold and Eric Harris walked into school that day, planning to kill everyone. It was the middle of the school day when they decided to go on with their plan. They had guns, knives, bombs. They stated outside where Rachel was having lunch with a friend. She was shot four times and died instantly her friend survived. The boys took over the school shoot anyone in their way. A total of 13 people died that day 12 students and 1 teacher! It was a very tragic day. 

   There are all kinds of different ways that you can get involved with Rachel’s Challenge! One way is start being friends with the person that you know that is bullied at your school. Show them that you do want to be their friend and hat you do not feel sorry for them because you have friends and they do not. Another way would be to start a chain of kindness! You would be amazed at how many people actually get involved with the chain of kindness! The last ways that I have for you is study the challenge and ask your schools leader is they would check into bringing Rachel’s Challenge to your school.

   I am very excited because Rachel’s Challenge is coming to our school and I know that there will be a lot of changes in kindness here! I am already trying to be kind to those that do not have friends and the ones that I used to be friends with and I am not anymore. It of course is not going to happen overnight but I know that there will be a change in the schools all over the country. It is very sad that I girl had to get shot and die for people to realize that we need to treat people the same. Yes, I do think that is she was still alive that she could have still made a difference.

Can anyone find me somebody to love?

Hello out there this is your magical fairy godmother here to tell everyone the criteria that i have for my future soul mate.

L.O.V.E what is love? Love is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. That is the dictionary definition but since this is my blog i decided to give you both the definition from the dictionary and my very own definition on love. Love is what is in your soul mate what every last ounce of your marriage will be and what you will be living with for the rest of your life. So you before you just go off and marry your " teenage dream" make sure that the love that he shows you is the love that you want to have for the rest of  your life. So that means that we need a list of things that our future husband HAS to OBEY!!

Here is mine.
1. YOU have to be clean and tidy! I WILL not live in felth! I WILL go CRAZY!
2. YOU have to want at least three children! YOU also have to be good with them too!
3. YOU have to love me for me and not for what I look like!
4. YOU have to love my family too! If YOU don't things will not work out! 

     Being with the one that you love for the rest of your life is going to be the best thing (other than having your children) that will ever happen to you! So before you just go out into the world and start falling for some guy or girl that you see and think that he or she is the one, get to know that person and FIND out if they really are the one for you!

Are you Above the Influence?

Hello out there this is your magical fairy goodmother here to ask you... Are you above the influence?

A couple of weeks ago, my school had Drug Awareness week. We go to have different dress up days to show and support being drug free. Most teens have different reasons for doing drugs. I will give you some of  the reasons that they do drugs.

1. They think that since people can buy drugs in stores without a perscription that it is ok that they do it too.

2. They think that drugs will make thier life less stressful

3. They think that drugs are cool and will make them a rebel.

4. They think that drugs will prevent bordam!

5. They think that the drugs will help them fit in.

    All of these reasons make sence I would think the same thing! It is hard trying to fit into a new school it is even hard to find friends so they turn to the drugs as thier friend and think oh hey they will think that i am cool and so then ill get friends that way too! NO! If you think that drugs will solve anything then you are wrong! They will just make your life worse! They help with absolutly nothing! All that they do is kill off your brain cells and kill you slowly! Drugs are your enemy!

school uniforms :/

Hello out there this is your magical fairy godmother here to give you my opinion on school uniforms.

DISADVANTAGES: What teenager wants to have t look exactly the same as everyone else in their school? I sure don't! And i think that we should be able to express our selves through their clothes! It is also very stressfull to have to remember a belt or to tuck in youe shirt all the time! Some times to me it seems like the only thing that our administraters care about is the way that we look and not our education! For example, Say that i decided to wear non matching colored socks and the principle sends me home for the day and i cant come back just because i dont have matching socks!! Now dont you think that is a little to much just cause of socks?

ADVANTAGES: There of course has to be some good things about wearing uniforms! One being that there will be no one making fun of anyone for what they wear because everyone is wearing the same thing. Also there is no problems like for getting up and ready for school! If you ever wake up late for school then you can just get up and get dressed since we wear the same thing every day. And the belt thing  is AWESOME becuase we dont have to walk  around seeing the guys butts all the time!

So, there are lots of different opinions on uniforms! But today i am just giving you mine (:

At home moms

hello out there this is your magical fairy godmother here to talk to you about being an at home mom! In my opinion being an at home mom is fine IF the father has a REALLY good job and does a good job supporting you ans your children.  I DO NOT think that the working father should take advantage of the mom being home tell her that she needs to mow the lawn or something. Because the excuse that he "works hard" and he "pays the bills" does not fly at all! He can get up off of his lazy butt and go mow the lawn or fix whatever needs to be fixed around the  house.

The mom works just as hard if not harder than the working dad.  And is entitled to a rest from things too cause she does the laundry, cleaning, cooking and what not! So in my opinion she works A LOT harder than the dad.


with that i will leave you by saying NEVER take advantage of anyone.

what have you learned?

.hello out there this is your magical fairy godmother here and today i am going to fill you in on something that i have learned from being in school. Something that i learned from school was that i was going to be writing the rest of my life from my grades to the choices that i make!

 GRADES: My grades have played a BIG role in my life since i started high school. If i was to fail, or not even care about my academic life then that would end up on my transcript and i could kiss my dream college good-bye. Most kids just can not comprehend that and think that they are at school to visit and mess around with their friends. Then they end up messing up their lives and some get into drugs, or some girls will end up getting pregnant and will drop out of high school. And they will not end up in that dream college that they had in their minds FOREVER!

CHOICES: Wow choices is the biggest thing that most high school students struggle with because of PEER PRESSURE. There is so many distractions in high school like boys, parties, and from the parties there will be the  drugs then the alcohol.  So it is up to us as individuals to make the smart choices in high school and we have our own voice and we CAN so NO to something that we do NOT want to do.

with that i will leave you saying make the right choices and FOCUS in school! Because you could ruin the rest of your life.

freedom of speech

Hello out there this is your magical fairy godmother here to give you my views on Freedom of Speech. What is Freedom of Speech? well just by looking at the word you can basically see the definition.  Freedom of Speech is the freedom to speak freely. Me personally think that we should be limited on things that we say. Like some people take advantage of that and use it harshly and hurtfully to others and hurt them. Some people end up committing suicide and killing others with their so called " Freedom of Speech" 

Bullying and harassing is all out comes of freedom to speak freely! Yes there are some cases where that Amendment falls into play but there are just WAY too many people using  that as and excuse.

So i leave you by telling you this. Speak to others as you wish to be spoken too!

TAKS and BENCHMARK test

Hello out there this is your magical fairy godmother here to give you my opinion on TAKS and BENCHMARK testing. I personally think that we should only be forced to do TAKS! We are forced to take all these tests like every week or so! What did we every do to the teachers for them to give us all these tests! Yes i agree that we do need practice and preparation for the TAKS but i don't think that we need so many! Plus all those benchmarks stress out the students! the teachers give us homework and projects on top of that! it is just WAY too much!

We are staying up late at night studying and doing are homework and such, we do not get enough sleep and end falling asleep during the tests and lose focus and in the end fail the test. Then we end up getting held back or spend the rest of our ( what is supposed to be fun) teenage years in school. Either in  tutoring or studying at home to make sure that we do pass the tests!

Well hello out there this is your fairy godmother Mary (: I dont really know what i should say in my introduction but i thought you could know a  few things about me...... i love being around people and i dont ever want to be alone! My friends are my life! I have the most amazing family in the world! I love singing and song writting.. music has always played a big part in my life!
